ComCap Business Support Training is NC3’s signature training program designed specifically for Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs), entrepreneurship centers, technical assistance providers, and nonprofit incubators who support small business growth. This five-module course equips you with the knowledge and tools to help local entrepreneurs harness the power of community investment—an innovative, equity-focused way to raise startup or growth capital from everyday community members.
Why Community Investment Matters
Traditional capital pathways often leave out the very entrepreneurs most rooted in and trusted by their communities. Community investment—where residents can invest in local businesses they believe in—flips the script by giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to raise capital directly from their supporters.
ComCap Business Support Training empowers ESOs to teach their entrepreneurs how to legally and effectively raise funds through regulated investment vehicles, such as Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF), intrastate exemptions, and local cooperative models.
